So after finding a food that settles with hanks stomach fairly well, life throws him another curve ball. He had been slowing down around the house a little, but outside he was an insane man, tons of energy. Then about a week before Christmas he started not running around as much and not playing as much at the park but still like he had some pep. Then came the heavy panting, no running, pale gums, pale tongue, not wanting to be outside, and increased heart rate. So on christmas eve we take him to the vet and they CBC, a urinalysis, and other tests. CBC shows that hemoglobin is only 3.4 (should be between 12-15) and his red blood cell count is only at 10% (should be at 37). They did some more blood work a couple of days later and neither had improved even after he had recieved an iron injection and prednisone injection. So now on Monday he is getting a bone marrow biopsy. We feel so bad for him , as he isn't even 8 months old yet.
