An aquantence was visiting yesterday and told me she found my sign offensive... ( it is laminated and attached to the inside of the toilet lid! )

I told her " there is the door, dont let it hit you in the butt on theway out!"

So...lemme see here...uh.... what's to get offended by? I find nothing offensive about your sign. As a matter of fact I think its pretty clever.
Obviously THAT person is clueless.
You've given me an idea! Thanks

I have had it up to "here"with this 'offensive' stuff...Get over it....You don't need acquaintances like that...Your house, your bathroom, your sign, your dogs...git out

I can only assume she finds the idea of dogs drinking out of the toilet offensive and when you include them as family members that's worse. Obviously we all know she's a little bit "cuckoo"

oh my - you handled it brilliantly - the sign is perfect and if she was offended, then she don't belong in your house! :uglyhammer:

Offensive?!? First of all, I thought it was a very cute sign and very personal which made it even cuter. Second, your friend would have been more offended sitting on a soaking wet toilet seat!

Although, this brings me to something that has been haunting my thoughts; my whole family puts the lid down, and sometimes guests come over and they don't put the lid down-out of habit from their own homes-or just because. Here's my haunting thought; do people think it's unhygienic to touch someone else's toilet seat lid...and that's why they don't close the lid??? My toilet is clean but I wondered if it was one of those unspoken things. Ever since I learned about how "toilet matter" is spread when one flushes, I have been a stickler about keeping the lid closed.

Did you really say that to your acquaintance?

That's kinda gutsy. That's the kind of thing I've wanted to say on occasion but never have.
