New Foster Parents

Well I am happy to say that we are picking up our first Newf foster dog this evening. This dog was found roaming the streets of Reno. He spent 8 days in a shelter then Nor Cal Newf Rescue was contacted. He is a small intact male (until a little later today). I understand he looks like a puppy mill/back yard breeder dog. I have been told that his coat is is good shape and nails have been trimmed. (which I guess I find a little odd) No chip and no collar or tags. We get to name him and I am thinking Gus is a good name. That might change once we meet him ya just never know.

We are really excited about fostering a dog. Noche has been very very lonely since Lilly passed in June.

Good luck with your foster boy! Thank you for opening your home to the boy in need. I found fostering to be a wonderful experience!

Bless you for starting on the foster journey. I love it, but cry each time one of my fosters leaves... I know they are going to a great home, but miss each and every one. Please send pictures so we may join you on this experience.

Rexanne,

I know you are still grieving for Lilly, but what a wonderful way to honor her memory by fostering Gus. I look forward to an update with pictures.

Thank you for doing this! Our Great Pyr was also found roaming the streets of Reno when he was about six weeks old. I wonder if some BYBs think releasing these pups to the street is the answer to one of their many problems they have being a BYB.

Keep in touch on how it goes!!
