If that isn't a 'screen' for the perfct home, I don't know what is....
Unless, it's expected that he have his own Cat....(evil grin)

OMG! That last picture!! WOW!!!
I'll take him! Seriously...I'm beside myself at that face and a Landseer was what I was wanting next year. I would forego a puppy to help with one in need of a home. Problem is, that's pretty far north!!
Oh I have Landseer-itis soooo bad!
Another NN road trip? So Debra have you got a pool?

Good lord! I'm crying I'm laughing so hard!!! What a maroon!

Angie - may I have your permission to post about this boy on Nanook and Pooka's blog? I'll refer anyone interested to Newf Friends' website if you say yes, but I'd love to put that picture up! What's his name?

He's nowhere near a new home yet...

Needs vetting, altering, and assessment. But, they are in the works :)

He's been so 'confined' .... all He's done is go, Go, GO! Each time I take him out. Mine are enjoying it, but they kinda do some laps and then it's.."OK buddy...You go...We'll be here when you 'relax' some."..lol. I don't know if any of you remember, but when I brought Lolly home I used to call him "The Dead Dog"... He's made for comfort, not speed.. ;) quote
ozzy is very fast and active also he actually looks like he could give ozzy a run for his money!!! patti

Did I mention that I have one of the largest lakes in NC about 1/8 of a mile thru the hiking trails across from my house? How'm I doing so far? Did I mention hubby says "SURE!" ? Did I mention I REALLLLY would love to have this guy?
Did I mention I was interested in adopting this guy?
Of course I know it makes more practical sense to rehome him up there. Of course it would. I can always wish! :whistling:

Well I've heard of stranger things...

There is one gal in NY that has a dog I delivered to her for Rescue... and that's not the odd part....
I drove it from Ohio.....
Yes, I live in Ontario, why do you ask??? lol

Well....I have to say....when I was looking to rescue a needy newf a year and a half ago...certain people in the great white north were more than willing to help arrange transport to FLORIDA! But then I found Riley...or Riley found me...and I didn't have to take advantage of that most generous offer...but do KNOW that it's out there and if it's meant to be, it will happen!

That boy looks like a very special newfie and I have a feeling...okay, maybe subsidized by a glass of wine...that a very deserving home will be found for him. In NC? maybe?

Yes Debra, if you really are interested, applications can be found at www.newf-friends.ca or at www.hartanimalrelief.ca (we operate under the umbrella of the all breed rescue HART) We require a written application, phone interview, reference checks and home inspection.

Some have suggested we may be tough to get a dog from, I believe the term "Puppy Nazi" was recently used in reference to my Director. I was thinking that for Christmas I should get her a shirt that says "No Pup For You!" (Yes, we are both die- hard Seinfeld fans.) We just do our best to match the right dog to the right family, where ever they may live.

I understand completely!! I just got accepted into the SENC Rescue as a Foster Mom if that counts for something!!!
I'm going to go for it. Something is telling me in my heart that this guy is for me and I'm for him. Ever have one of those "feelings"? I just feel it all over. I saw that face..I saw that beautiful boy and I just knew.
MissP needs a big brother. :sunflower:
