All you 'rescue' helpers....lol
contact me

I jut picked up a 2yr old Landseer boy...In TACT!!!

A number was given to me by my step-daughter, the owners had only had him 2 weeks and found him to much to handle in their appartment, what with their lab and all (rolling my eyes)
It was given to them by 'Her' mother as an early Christmas gift (thanks mom)
It gets vague here... 'mom' rescued it from a couple who were splitting (so the story goes)... SO, 3 homes in the last few monts, that I know of...
I'm told it's chipped, so I'm taking it to my Vet to see if I can get a name and phone number of previous owners to find out about vaccines before I arrange to get him fixed. Also told it had papers once... could be, the chip should help ascertain that, and it certainly has all of the earmarks of a careless BYB..:(

Nothing to tell about temperment yet... just got him home and had a 'run around the acreage. I has been kept in a small yard that has a 4ft fence around the 2 paremiters, but the fence that actually separtates the 'yards' (housing units) the feince is only 3ft.... His 'escaping' the yard was another complaint .... cause ya, for a Newf to traverse a 3ft fence!!!! This Guy must be a houdine (sp)!!!! (anyone sencing scarcasm...lol) ....Sorry.... Forgot to add... since they can't keep him in that 'fortress' they have been reduced to tying him up when outdoors... and... He's a 'handful' so, walks have been in short suppy also...(sigh)

I can't keep him. But I'm not leaving him to be bounced around anymore and I'm getting him fixed to be sure he doesn't get into the wrong hands.

So, know anyone who wants a Newf??? lol

This one is just to show his size in comparison to Lolly-pup, who, ,is what I refer to as a "mini-newf"... I don't know how tall he is, but He's small, weighing in at only about 110lbs...And, Lollys' been well cared for, what he is, is all muscle...so, yup, he's a 'littlin'

Oh.... !!!!!!
What are the rules for posting 'Rescue's"? Gad, if I'm doing something I shouldn't just let me know. I've been 'away' for a time.

UGH! People make me so mad!!!! Poor boy!
You know what? In this ladys defence.. she knew it was a bad situation and REALY didn't want to let the dog go. So I have to give her full 'Kudo's'... she even called me already tonight and asked how He's adjusting.

It takes alot of guts to 'do the right thing' for the animal. RARE in rescue.

He's been so 'confined' .... all He's done is go, Go, GO! Each time I take him out. Mine are enjoying it, but they kinda do some laps and then it's.."OK buddy...You go...We'll be here when you 'relax' some."..lol. I don't know if any of you remember, but when I brought Lolly home I used to call him "The Dead Dog"... He's made for comfort, not speed.. ;)

Ok... I didn't use the 'right' lens to take this pic so it didn't crop well....but the image is enough.... I laughed out loud....sooooo funny

Oh my, he's adorable!

Thanks for taking him in Angie, and for fostering him while we search for his forever home! He looks like a great little guy!

OMG! That last picture!! WOW!!!
I'll take him! Seriously...I'm beside myself at that face and a Landseer was what I was wanting next year. I would forego a puppy to help with one in need of a home. Problem is, that's pretty far north!!
Oh I have Landseer-itis soooo bad!
