Brody the Newf

Brody has a spot that he needs to stay in while we eat dinner. He knows his spot but will only go to it with help. Usually it is the battle of wills as I drag his 150 pound behind to his spot and make him sit while he struggles to remain standing.

Any way last night I put him in his spot while we sat down for dinner. I saw him do his impressive commando crawl towards the kitchen and I did a loud EH! so he stayed where he was. When I was focused on something my son was saying, Brody decided to take that moment to try and walk into the kitchen. He made it halfway before I said "Brody get back to your spot." Guess what he did? He walked back to his spot and sat!

It took him only three years and 10 months to get this lesson down.

good news what will you achieve next, I know all about the newfy ninja antics. How can a 75kg newf be as silent as a mouse when he's being naughty yet a noisy boy for everything else

Huge hoorays for you and Brody. Unfortunately, due to the way you described this, and the fact I have lived similiar scenes, I cackled loudly and disturbed the kids in class!! Great work for you and handsome Brody!!

Good news Heidi, when Brody turns 5 he will miraculously turn into the dog you've always wanted! Nah, I'm just kidding-it is April Fool's day, after all.

Truth is-Brody *is* the dog you've always wanted-you just may not know it yet, lol! When you look back on this, and you will, you will so appreciate all the lessons Brody taught you!

He is always watching you...I LOVE that! Just goes to show you how very smart he is!!! Good boy, Brody!
