Boogs checkup

We found Boog in horrible shape, with ear infections, a mast cell growth in one of them and matted, tangled fur. This is Boog at first. He weighed in the low 80's. October of 2009.

Boog is now healthy, happy, his infections gone, his growth removed, his coat groomed, weighing in at 146 lbs!!! February 2010. He loves his ball, and is the easiest going, get a long with everyone, lovingest boy you'd ever want to meet. He is an active, enegetic 2 year old, but an old soul and calm spirit. We absolutely adore him. In years to come, when the herd dwindles a bit, I'd like to get a purebred Newf, unless the area is too hot for one. We have the thicker coated dogs shaved in summer (Rex, our plushcoat and Telah our Shiloh who passed away in August).
Boog is a German Shepherd/Newfoundland mix.

He looks so happy! You have done a wonderful job with him, and don't worry about your area being too hot for a Newfie-there are many people here in Florida and other hot weather climates who have them!

yeah for boog!!!there have been many newfs in warmer climates. you just have to be a bit more attentive to their needs. mine love a nice mist of water and to sit in front of the fan in the shade when it gets too warm!!
