What Have I Done??

Alright, so my little grandson doesn't always hear things the way that he's supposed to.
Example: While singing "God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman" last Christmas, I overheard him singing "where oxen pee'd on hay" instead of where oxen 'feed' on hay.
Tonight the poor little guy calls to me from the living room and says that Buford got floogs on Tucker's head and neck. Okay...I'll get a towel in a minute.
And then he asked me..."Did Buford *got* all of his shots?" Yes, I assure him, he has. Christopher says "All of 'em?" Yes Sir, All of them.
I was then advised that I should take Buford back to the Dr & get him a "Floog Shot".......That poor baby may never grow up right....

When my daughter was little, I dressed her as an elf to ride in the cart at the Santa parade. Shortly after, she was looking for her winter hat and couldn't find it, so I told her she could not play outside without a winter hat. She shrieked "I can wear my DORK hat!" I had no CLUE what she was talking about until she came running out carrying the hat she wore in the parade... elf ears still attached to it. When I asked her why she called it that, she replied.....Cuz it's when i went to the parade and was one of Snow White and the seven DORKS." Apparently at 5 elves and "dorks" can be interchanged for dwarves. She's 22 now, and I still remind her to "wear your dork hat" if it's cold out.

Love the stories, both could have made Art Linkletter. Poo Buford, tell your grandson Bu couldn't possibly do without his floogers, it would make him shrink.

My mom told me that when I was two, I spent the summer clutching the book with Christmas carols, singing, "Hark the Harold, Angels Sing"... I still think that is funny, although I was too little to have any remembrance of the summer.

The stories your grandson will have when he grows up..... floogers will be the minimal part of those I am sure..

Ms. Beblo and the rest, what entertaining tales! There is another thread about the drool that always brings me to mind about your own.

newfs and drool. You can't afford one without the other. The yin/yang of the best breed coming down the pike. As I've told too many folks, you get the 'nasty' with the 'glorious', and which do you think will prevail overall?

People will tell, and that will tell all you need to know.
