Sully's first surgery today

Sully went in this morning for his Cherry Eye surgery. He was whining and crying and scratching to get out of the caged area they put him in.. it broke my heart :( He's not even 13 months so this is his first surgery as he hasn't been neutered yet and this is also his first time being 'left' anywhere. I know it is pretty 'routine' surgery but I'm still worried for him and can't wait until he is home safe! I'm anxiously awaiting the post surgery phone call. Good thoughts for my monster bear please :)

:hugs: Sending healing wishes and hugs. It is usually harder on us than it is them. Please keep us updated. :hugs:

Good thoughts on their way. He is in very good hands, and will be fine, but I know it is a worry. Update us when you hear from the vet!

Oh Emily, I know how hard that is to hear them upset. Don't you just wish they could understand an explanation on what is happening. I think this is the hardest part of sharing our life with furry people. Doing what is best for them and them not understanding.

Hope this time passes quickly for you both. Let the reunion begin!

It's so hard to leave them at the vet. I always wait to tear up (if I can) until I am out of their line of sight. Hugs and prayers sent your way. Please let us know when he is out of surgery

Good luck... He is in good hands....That is what I always tell myself when they go in for surgery.

Thanks everyone :) I know they are really good with him so trying not to worry. But they weren't able to give me an approximate time of when to expect their call so I get more worried as the day goes on and no call yet !

Call them..no need to sit and wonder. Call and the person who answers the phone should be able to tell you if they have started yet, if he is still in surgery or if he is done.
