Recently adopted a Half-Newfie

Boog is a 2 year old whose Dam was a Newfoundland and Father was a black German Shepherd Dog. I've never owned a Newfoundland and I am sure he has charactoristics from both breeds, but his temperament and personality seem more Newfoundland than GSD. He is a rescue and our 4 GSD's and a Lab have welcomed him whole-heartedly. He is a very sweet fellow. I have joined the board to learn more about Newfoundlands and help Boog be the most dog he can be. He is named for some cartoon bear.
