Well - I have 5 dogs and 3 cats.....I do not think I would much help in stopping ANYONE - lol!!!

7 Dogs, 2 cats and a parrot !
I swore I would not have more than 2 dogs and 2 cats, but sometimes there are ones that just need a home or "call to you"

As if I'm one to discourage you. 3 dogs and 11 cats though I'm still trying to get the number of cats down here. It's so hard to find homes for them and most of them were kind of dumped on me. Some were left on my doorstep, one was boarding here (with her brother whom I sadly lost last year) while her owner was moving but she neglected to tell me she was moving out of the country. One is unfortunately dying of cancer but this isn't how I planned on downsizing.

I guess you know what my answer to you would be.

I would have to agree.....even getting a puppy is no cure, because you just want another one

We have three dogs, 6 horses (expensive to feed in a Drought) Lots of ducks and chickens, two geese, pigeons, koi ( those that have survived Tessa fishing for them) and cattle by the tonnes

8 horses, 3 dogs , 1 barn cat, 1 parrot(who incidentally hates me) and we still want another pup. all our horses were born here and would never trust anyone else to care for them properly, 3 dogs cause each one brings so much love and personality in our home, 1 old as dirt barn cat who is spoiled rotten and the 28 year old parrot we got in some sort of crazed faze when he was young and still had no tail feathers.
so not to fear - just go ahead and do it!!!!!
