Dear Jesus, we come to you today on behalf of our friends Nessa and Pooka and ask for your healing touch and your peace that passes understanding. Please guide the doctors and nurses who are taking care of Pooka and give them the wisdom they need to bring complete healing to our Pooka. Please comfort and sustain Nessa in this very scary time. I know that the Bible says that Your eye is even on the littlest sparrow so I am sure you can't miss seeing our big buddy Pooka! In Jesus name! Amen!

pneumothorax ruled out - bloat and obstruction ruled out by abdominal ultrasound. Which is all very good news, except it means the vet has no idea what has caused the fever, elevated white blood count, and increased heart rate.

They're keeping him overnight to continue the fluid therapy and starting him on antibiotics.

Please keep the good thoughts coming.

Not unless you can get heatstroke inside a house kept at 68 degrees. He went out only for very short potty breaks, that's it.
