Time andold age have crept in on my Alex girl. She is 15 and has been losing weight rapidly within the last few weeks. She drinks constantly and has lost interest in food. Well, I cook for her and she will muster a few bites, but then returns to her spot behind our chair in our dining room. I must lift her up on her feet to get her to her water dish. She will drink like there is no end. I see that she is hurting adn I have made a call to my vet who will see her this afternoon. Please send me prayers of strength as this is most difficult. Alex has been mine since she was 8 weeks old. She is my friend and love. I pray I am doing the right thing.

I'm sorry to read about Alex. I've rescued quite a few seniors and I'm all to familiar with what you are going through. How lucky Alex has been to be loved for 15 years and I'm sure you will make whatever decisions need to be made in her best interest. Prayers of strength coming your way, hang in there.

I pray for you to have the strength and compassion to release her if it is her time. This is the hardest thing for us humans who have been blessed through all those years to be loved by one of the most loving and forgiving beings.

So sorry to hear this about your dear Alex; sounds very much like her kidneys are failing her. Sending you prayers for strength ....

Alex is lucky to have you to care for her and love. It is your love for her that will help you through this difficult time.

I am so sorry. We went through kidney failure with Andy's dog (about 12 yrs old) a few years ago. Our thoughts are with you.
