There are one or two other threads about escape artists. Thought I'd share my story. Not quite an escape artist but almost.
My husband decided to buy a soft sided crate. Almost looked like a tent with a flap that zippered and made of canvas with just some supports in the corners to keep its shape.
Oso was in the crate in the living room and we were in the kitchen. We heard "thrump, thrump, thrump" and here came Oso into the kitchen, crate and all! He had figured out that if he "walked" up the sides of the crate it would roll.
I laughed so hard I couldn't breath. He looked like a 175lb gerbil in a wheel!
Very smart, those bears.
