Ebony’s battle with lymphoma is over. She fought with bravery and courage these past 10 months.
Ebony was my “first” for so many things. She showed this cat person how joyful and love-filled life with dogs can be. Ebony has taken me many places and introduced me to many wonderful people. I was a better person with Ebony by my side. I am so heartbroken that our journey together only lasted 6 years.
You will always be able to watch over us now, puppa. We will never be out of your sight.
Rest well, Ebony. Until we meet again….

Ebony was a VERY special girl - she's always epitomized to me what it means to a be a newf - she was so gentle with all your wild and woolly creatures - I remember her with her sheep, her little chicks...she was one-of-a-kind. I can't imagine how much you are hurting right now but please believe me - I'm crying with you.

I have had Ebony's face greet me each morning, ever since you announced she had been diagnosed with lymphoma, she has been my screensaver. There were times that I thought I should change screensavers, but I felt doing so would be too much like teasing the gods who protect dogs with cancer. With a bit of magical thinking that by lookiing at her, it would will her to stay. She had a good long run, and some wins that will carry her memory a long way. Godspeed, Ebony, she was such a good Newfie, sleep well.
