Thanksgiving= pizza at this rate. I'm on-call for the next ten days, so not going too far too fast........

Patty has ortho doc appt. on Monday, so we'll see how it looks for recovery soon.

Here's wishing you a speedy recovery Patty. Enjoy some cuddle time with them.. I am sure they feel guilty for hurting mom. I guess boys will be boys :)

I am so sorry! Positive healing thoughts headed your way!!! It's true; they don't get how huge and uber strong they are. . hence they think they actually are lap dogs! Again, so sorry.

Been there done that when I tripped over my pup who was 6 months at the time and ended up with a crack in two small bones, unfortunately I had not realized it was more than a sprain until 6 weeks later when it was still bothering me!...The wrist takes a little extra time to heal so don't rush things...I suggest that if the doctor hasn't braced it while you wait for your ortho appointment - purchase a wrist brace from a drug store...it really helped to stabilize the injury and I was able to dress myself and do a few things...not to mention it is protected if one of the dogs should knock your hand....I wore my brace for months after just as a precaution as the dogs seemed forever knocking my hand causing my wrist to bend ackwardly and painfully.

Good thoughts for your up-coming ortho appointment.

Thanks all! ER fixed me up w/soft brace and sling. The entire incident was my fault. I've been successfully using the double lead for a couple of months now, it's just this time, I didn't untangle myself fast enough when one of them circled back behind me. When they went to greet the neighbor bringing his trash to the curb, the fork in the leash caught me below the knees and with their forward momentum .... well, just picture calf roping and you have a pretty good idea.

And, it was a new neighbor, so that was our introduction! Thankfully, he likes dogs, otherwise, if he'd turned tail and started running away, can you imagine them chasing him to play - with me bumping along behind them on my butt?!

I think they'll do fine carting. We already know how much weight they can pull and they're only 7 months old!

They've spent all the time since at my feet. I love my boys. All of them - Mike is a great nurse!! (am reserving judgment on the cooking, however!) :p

I don't know how I missed this! So sorry to read about your injury. I walk mine on a coupler and there have been times that I've had to let go and hope they get tangled before they get into trouble on the loose. Heal fast!
