Yogi is gone....

Dear NN Friends,

This is very difficult to write, but our Yogi is gone. I helped him to cross the bridge where I know he is now romping and roaming in true Yogi style, able to munch on all the cheese he can find. I want to thank my Secret Santa for our wonderful gifts -- Montana loved them all, and even though Yogi was not here to enjoy them , I'm sure he was watching. a couple days after Yogi was gone, I had more terrible newsss, my dad passed away. this is a very sad Christmas all around - but I'm determined to make it all the more special for our daughter Emma - she's 6 and deserves the have the happiest of Christmas.

We were blessed to have Yogi in our family for just over a year -- my heart aches at losing him -- our time with him was far too short, but I would take another Senior like him in a heartbeat.

I am so sorry to hear of Yogi's passing. I enjoyed your Yogi stories and pictures of his handsome grey muzzle. He was a special boy and you made him one HAPPY newf in his time spent with you.
And of course, many condolences to you and your family on the passing of your dad.

Sandie, Yogi was always a free spirit with an urge to wander and that's what made him so loveable. Some dogs can live their senior years quietly sitting in front of the fire but Yogi had a mission to get out and see the world. Age is not a friend to dogs like Yogs, setting him free of his old achy bones was an act of bravery and the ultimate kindness to your dear old friend.

I'll miss him, he was a character with an eye for the ladies. I still chuckle about him chasing LuLu around my car trying to pitch some woo with a much younger lady. He was a sweet old guy, and my eyes are filled with tears to think we'll never meet again on this earthly plane. He was a vagabond and a troubadour and absolutely unforgetable. No doubt a regiment of Newf soldiers stood and saluted as he passed into their ranks. Good job, Yogi Bear...Godspeed your soul until we meet again.

My deepest condolence on the loss of your Dad, also. I'm so sorry this season has brought such sadness for you.

Condolences on the loss of your father. What a sad time for you, Sandy.

And, I am so sorry to hear about sweet Yogi. (I always giggle when I see your avatar. He looked like such a silly boy.) He was greeted by my sweetheart, Allie, and she is showing him the ropes. Please find peace in the love you gave him.

Sandy, I am so sorry you are enduring such a time of grief. Many condolences on the passing of your father. Yogi was so fortunate to have you in his life. You loved him, and he returned that love. You were courageous and loving and concerned with his best life until the end. He is with you now, and you will be with him in the long someday. Our other Newfies and pets were there to greet him, and he is romping in flowers and lazing in beautiful; fields right now in my beliefs. You are right about Emma, while she is a child she does deserve the happiest of Christmases. This is another yet example of your wisdom and compassion. God bless you with peace in this in God's good time.
