What a guy...

I guess Tug didn't want to be a Skunk for Hallowe'en again, so...

He arranged to get his tail caught in the truck door. I had a heart attack when he yelped and cried as he pulled it through the closed door. Fully closed door! When I managed to get to it, I could feel a spot that was compressed but he didn't act hurt when I touched it. But... Better to be safe than sorry, so off to the Vet we went.

To get a good idea of the damage, Mr. Vet had to shave off Tug's wonderful plummage of a tail! The thick, cushioning, Yak A$$ fur the Vet thinks saved him from broken bones and possible amputation...

So, I guess I'll find some mouse ears and we'll call him "Ricky Rat"!!

OH my!!! So sorry to read this. Glad nothing really bad happen, though I have to laugh at his current tail looks.

I know I caught the end fur one time in the door, but no meat thank God.

Poor guy must be so embarrassed. Very lucky no real damage done. Not physically anyway. Hope he doesn't have psychological issues.Tell him he is unique. LOL

Oh TUG! Yikes buddy, that had to hurt! Tell Mum you need a black maribou tail sleeve until your plume is back.

Since there was no real injury, I hope it's okay that I laughed. I have never seen a naked newf tail before. It's so skinny! Hugs to Tug, I'm sure it had to hurt.

I'm very careful with the boy's tail. I tuck it in between his legs when I close the door. THIS time he jumped into the wrong door while gravity was closing it! Silly boy :shocker: Just too excited about a C-A-R R-I-D-E, I guess
And he IS very embarrassed about his nakedness. He gives me the under brow up look as if to say: "I am MORTIFIED, Mother!"
Last night he spent most of his time trying to catch that strange, hairless thing that kept chasing him and hitting him. Too funny

OMG!! I honestly thought those pics were "fakes"...part of a costume for Halloween, or something. Poor Tug!! Now, how is he going to keep it warm this winter? Can you do a "weave" or knit him a tail warmer, or something? :)
