OKAY! Jeannie and Annie your just Terrible! haha Anything to get more dogs in the water is great for me, although IF ANY money is collected for a workshop the total amount will go to RESCUE!

I would be more than happy to include a informal water workshop and I'm very sure Lu will be pleased also. What this means thought is that Jeannie HAS to get IN the water a little farther than last year, and Annie and Russell have to work at least one of their dogs to possibly get a WD! Progress is the name of the game guys!

Just settle on a date so we can all get it on the schedule and those that will need reservations can get them.

i was a victim and also helped with the boat, everyone has their way of doing things so hopefully you guys can coach me some if i need it, it has been two years since the driving i did to train!

I just suggested another idea to Jeannie, and that is that she do an informal grooming workshop at some point!!!!

I contacted the Greenville Inn again and spoke to the manager. If we can get 15-20 rooms in a block we can get them for $50 per night plus tax so I think the total would be around $56.50 per night.

Here is the plan to for the "Newf Net Family Reunion"

Friday evening an informal grooming seminar maybe everyone can go out to eat afterwards (do you want a hands on seminar or a watch me seminar?)

Saturday Water workshop and just playing in the water. Agility equipment available for play times. Have some sort of mid day snack then that evening have a catered "cookout" followed by a bon-fire complete with newfie stories

Sunday start the day with an informal drafting seminar while it is still cool. I figured I am qualified to head this up since I have titled 3 newfs with DD and one TDD. Then we can spend the day just playing in the water or whatever. Maybe Sunday we can take the newfs for a hike at a Nature Preserve that about 1/4 mile from me. They have really neat trails--through the woods, a wetlands, and a creek.

I am checking with a friend of mine that has a catering business. He is really reasonable on his prices. He catered a wedding rehearsal dinner for me. We had Fried chicken, gravy, mashed potatoes, home made noodles, salad, green beans and pie--all for only $7.50 per person. Would anyone be interested in that? I will keep you posted on the price and menu when I talk to him. I left him a message. Oh the best part is He has a Newf too!!!

Sounds really good Jeannie! What do you guys think about having a brown bag raffle... with proceeds going to either rescue or the health challenge? If everyone brought and item, it could be fun!

This just keeps getting better and better! I think we will do the Greenville Inn too. The catering sounds great and he has very reasonable prices. There's also an added bonus...we get to help a fellow Newf lover!
I am very interested in learning about water trials. If you can use a "greenhorn" I would love to help out.

Sounds like a wonderful plan! The catered meal is a deal. Sure beats the hazzle of trying to put something together. All the events (grooming, water training, cart training) are a Newfie owner's dream come true! This is just great.

As far as your grooming demonstration, hands on would be wonderful but depending on how many are participating, we may learn more by just watching you. Just my two cents worth..........

OK I just talked to the Caterer. He said they have a 7 foot country club grill. They can bring that and grill hamburgers, hot dogs and brats. Have Baked beans, potato salad, other salads, chips and desert, Ice tea, lemonade. He will supply everything right down to the silverware, tables and even clean up afterwards. I don't have to do a thing--so I can enjoy everything too. He will even have a chef here to run the grill. The total price would be $9 per person. I told him I would post this, get some response and let him know. The only thing is: I will require payment before hand and if you don't come there would be no refund because whatever number I give him I have to pay for. I would want to get a count and have each of you mail the money to me. I do have to give him 1/2 as a deposit up front then the other half 2 weeks before.

Also for other meals we could have cold meat sandwiches. Just keep the meat and things in a cooler and everyone can just make sandwiches as they want. I plan to have the "food" in the garage (Gary's workshop) so the dogs cannot steal any of it. Everyone would be responsible for their own beverages. One thing: I will not allow any type of alcoholic beverages.

Yea Annie why don't you go ahead and make a registration form. Maybe see how wants to get a hotel room, who wants to camp, who wants join in on the catered meal. I'd like to get a count on how many plan to come. I think we are leaning toward having it July 23-25.

Maybe everyone can pitch in on the lunch meat meals--everyone just bring something. Wow my mind is in overload right now. HELP Annie Help!!!

jason went thru this sort of thing to set up a seminar for cops, and the work and set up and phone calls that goes into something of this nature is truly appreciated by us that is for sure.
