So, what do you guys say? Shall we have a Newf Net get together? We may not be able to pull off one big one but, perhaps we can pull off a few smaller ones simultaneously.
Although one big one would be the coolest! Maybe this summer? That is unless we are all green eyed trolls and don't want to blow our cover.

i would love to escape the 21 below zero here that is without the windchill! LOL
it is fridgid out there, just horrible.

summer's better for me, too, though, esp if we're going to swim. it was below 0 with the wind chill this morning.

Me too, me too, me too!!!!! :D I'm dreamin of summer time, green grass, blue skies and warm warm weather. Actually there is a wonderful beach on Lake Michigan where dogs are allowed. I believe there are lots of campgrounds nearby. It is just north of Saugatuck which is a delightful touristy type of town. Don't know if that would be central enough for some of the folks here but thought I'd throw it out.


Actual temp is 4 right now and we are getting dumped on. Don't even want to know what the wind chill is. :eek: I'm working from home today thank goodness. Didn't want to deal with the awful drive in.

Sounds like a great idea to me. We could have it here. All the dogs could swim and the area where the pond is 5 acres all fenced so we wouldn't have to worry about anything. We can have a bond fire or cookout too. I wanted to have something here last year however building the new kennel kept me from doing so. Kennel--I would also have air conditioned kennels for the dogs to relax is while we eat. Maybe July 4th weekend???

Jeannie your place sounds like the perfect set up, but is it central enough? This summer is great for me. If this is going to happen, we should start planning now. How cool it would be.

My place is in Ohio but I am only about 7 miles from the Indiana line. I am about 2 hours from Columbus OH, 1 1/2 hours from Indianapolis, 3 hours from Toledo OH, 5 hours from Chicago, about 2 1/2 hours from Cincinnati OH, 3-4 hours from Louisville KY.

How does that sound to everyone.

Jeannie that's an awesome idea!! We should start planning. Are there any hotels/motels near you that would let us have our newfies with us? Or maybe the dogs could have a sleepover at your house!! LOL

Jeannie your setup sounds perfect. That is so generous of you to open it up for all of us.
I'm so excited. Would non-newfies be welcomed as well? Sadie is a lab but thinks she is a newfie. Benson just thinks he is a human!!! And I....well I haven't figured that one out yet.. ;) Please fill us in on nearby motels that are dog friendly and yes we should begin planning this. Thanks again. Something to look forward to... :D

Well unfortunately I don't think I can make it (it's just a little bit too far to travel!!).... unless I win lotto, then I will be there with bells on!!!
