I want to come, too, but PLEASE NOT THE 10th and 11th!!!!!!!
I am the primary event planner for the Personal Best Middle Eastern dance Competition (check out our website and let m eknow what you think there, too....)that weekend and I wouldn't be able to come at all. And I;m missing nationals this year cause of school and I really really really want to come!!!!! Please, please, please, not that weekend.....
Other than that weekend, any time in July is great for me.
And Jeannie, I'm not in class this summer, so I will also do what ever I can.
The 17-18 is the Jazz and Rib fest in Columbus, and it's a really cool event if you want to plan for that weekend...

Well, mapblast.com says it's 7.5 hours. I'm thinking if I'll drive 6 hrs to go up north for a weekend, I can drive 7.5 to come meet you all!

Don't know why not. It's all outside along the river front. They set up tents and have a street fair. It's a lot of fun (hot though, at that time of year).
As an aside, I still have trouble calling what we have in Columbus a river front. I suspose technically it is, since it is called the Scioto River (or the Olentangy, can't remember which it is there....)
However, I grew up spending my summers in St. Louis, and I lived there are 5 years. My family still does live there, and STL will always be home. Comparitively, I would never call these creeks in central Ohio a River.

Wow so many people with the birthdays on July 3rd!! We will have to make it a real party!!
I called the Greenville Inn. They do accept pets with a $75 deposit which is returned when you check out as long as the room in not destroyed. Also if you leave the dog unattended in the room it must be caged otherwise there is no need for a cage. Room rates are $60 for a double or queen if you have AAA the room rate is $55 for double or queen. Also I can reserve a block of at least 15 rooms and get a discount. I was quoted $55 per room if I do this, however I am to call the manager tomorrow and most likely get a better price. Those rates do not include tax.
As far as camping. I have 9 acres. I don't care if you want to pitch a tent or park an rv of some sort. There just would be no electrical hookups, but you can shower in our house as I have 2 bathrooms.
I can check into renting a port a potty to put down near the play yard. I have an EZ-up canopy top, I know Annie has one, so we can put up canopies all over for shade. We can have a cookout or order pizza, maybe a bond fire!!!
I am getting really excited about this. Wouldn't it be neat if Dogger and Noreen can make it?!?! Not that it won't be fun meeting everyone but to come that FAR!! And SAR I know we have had our differences but you are more than welcome to come!! I don't hold grudges.
Everyone that lives close by can help pitch in some munchies or sandwiches.
Maybe is we are real real nice (maybe take up a collection for her time) to Susan (Ivoryudx) she will give us a mini water training workshop!!! She is a #1 excellent water training instructor. Annie or I can contact her (or Susan if you are following this let me or Annie know--Annie suggested this!!)

This is getting better and better all the time. A water workshop would be wonderful! Please count us in for the Greenville Inn. We would be interested in Queen-size room. I'm afraid our camping days are over. Also am willing to chip in for anything to help cover the costs of hosting this.
PS My husband thinks I'm nuts so I guess we are all in good company!
