Scarlet's first show

Home now...a great time!

Well, we had a blast! Of course, Scarlet was the only dog in the 6-9 puppy class, so we do have a beautiful Blue ribbon...and in the Winner's group, we did not place...but we worked out some of the nerves (my nerves...I thought I would throw up at one point and I wasn't even handling her! ) She did much better the second time in the ring. She needs some work on letting the judge touch her rear end, but she moved well and just had so much fun...that we have decided to keep doing it! I did have one woman get a little snippy with me because I didn't know she was trying to move through me with her dog and I didn't step aside...but other than that...I stayed with the nice people and they took great care of me!

O_O How mean do people get at these shows? And WHY? It just seems unnecessary to me...

What did you have to do at the show? And I'm SO glad you had fun! Scarlet is BEAUTIFUL!

:groovy::allg069: Congratulations Scarlet :allg069::groovy:

She's a winner everyday but it sounds like this was a nice intro to the show circuit. Good job on keeping a great attitude (and your breakfast on the inside.)

I expected no less of Miss Scarlet. I am sure she had the judge eating out of her paw! She looks stunning! I am so happy that your first show was so successful!

Great job Miss Scarlet!! Glad to hear it all went well, but isn't it maddening?? Glad you kept yourself together so well, and could enjoy it. Congratulations, and I hope it just gets better and better.

So do you have the show bug yet? It is so addicting!!
I have loved going to shows to watch the other dogs I know...this is a different experience for sure. As long as Scarlet likes it, we will keep doing it. We are going to a few shows a month up here in New England through the end of the year to learn the rountine and then we will see what the new year brings.
