Riley the Rescue Newf and I are attending a 2 hour workshop on Sunday for Dock Jumping! I had planned to attend with him before the GT in Colorado, but just couldn't manage everything at once...so we're scheduled for this weekend. I'm so excited! The facility is only about 25 miles away and should be a total hoot!
Riley is a very, very smart boy but he dislikes the repetition of obedience work, gets bored with rally, likes draft work, but prefers to plan his own routes on the courses......but he absolutely loves to jump off the ramp into our pool after a bumper. He will not, however, chase a bumper or a ball or a stick or anything inanimate on land...has to be "rescued" in the water. I was driving myself nuts trying to figure out an activity for us while I'm training Angus so heavily for obedience and rally.....so Dock Jumping is it! I hope.
