So not content with last week's near death experiences, yesterday I go to a different winter wonderland. Despite no radar precipitation, There's a blizzard happening:
This is at about 1500 feet, the good snow is over 3500 feet, we were headed to 4500 feet, about 2 hrs away from home (400 - 500 feet above sea level) The road parallels a river which is all kinds of shades of blue and green
Princess came with me. Don't expect any gore and guts this time. There were 4 deaths and since they were my spares I don't have many pictures. Farewell. AAs, you served long and well. I skied for ten minutes but it was pure torture. This was snowmobile country and their tracks forced my skis sideways and my feet and ankles couldn't handle the pain any longer. So we went for a nice walk. Princess loved the snow and cavorted like a proper Newf. She dug her nose under, she rolled in it, he bounded through the deep stuff, she waited politely for her papa, who, with the low battery light blinking fast, tried to get a Sandra shot:
Failing miserably we walked on and I noticed the obligatory flooger shot. In this case before her flooger froze she rolled it in the snow for extra fluffiness:
So we eventually went home and I forgot to make the hot chocolate and we all lived happily ever after. Will there be a next time? We'll see.
