Prayers please

I don't ask for prayers often but we really need some. My brother-in-laws step-daughter just had her first baby and it's not going well for them right now. After a long labor the baby girl had a bowel movement while she was facing up in the canal. She was born on 3-18-11. I think they got to go home yesterday but now they are back at the hospital with high fevers. I don't like what I've heard about the whole thing. The insurance only covers the military hospital where they are. I hope they can be transferred to Nashville if it doesn't improve fast. Thank you for any prayers as this is very worrisome.

Thank you. I hated to post knowing that there are some pregnant members but we sure do need the prayers. I have not heard anything since they were headed to the hospital. My brother in law has been battling bladder cancer and they've just had a rough year in many ways. I know that it's in God's hands.

Prayers here. My grandson had a bowel movement in the womb. As he was in the birth canal he got stuck, after he was unstuck they had to stop delivery to suction out is mouth and things so he wouldn't breath into his lungs the feces with his first breath. As a result he was without oxygen for 3 minutes. It took over 2 hours to stablize him. On the apgar scale he scored 1 and 2 on everything. At 12 hours old he started having seizures. His brain swelled. It was a real mess. Today is 10 years old. He is doing well in school but he is in special education. He has his problems at times but all in all his life is wonderful.

Wow Jeannie, I'm glad he is doing well now. I have not heard anything this morning, I am scared to call in case they are resting but I can't wait much longer. I have not heard about her apgar which if I would have been able to talk to someone instead of the text I would have asked. I know that they did have a baby transferred to Vanderbilt from there so that makes me feel better that they will do that if they need to.

OK got an update, baby girl is at home, Ashley momma is in the hospital with a fever still. She is on 2 antibiotics and will have to be there a minimum of 72hrs. Please keep the prayers coming. I would not ever want to know that I couldn't be with my newborn baby...
