Prayers Needed

Sending prayers!

I appreciate you sharing this story; wish it weren't going on.

What are PDA and SAS?

How do you deal with all that stress of bringing new life into the world?

I think I'm having a connection issue... when I first saw this post, it was three pages... after I posted my above note, it returned to display nine pages.

So, I'm very happy to learn in a matter of minutes that the surgery was a success!!!!
Fantastic!!!!!!!

Surgery was SUCCESSFUL!!!! My sweetie will live a long and happy life. Of course, she had to have the "device" at an additional 800 bucks - such a Diva!!!

I get to see her in about an hour. She stays tonight and if all is well, we go home tomorrow!

Thanks all for the support. Amelia and I very much appreciate it. :grouphug:

Wonderful news Ginny! I think I hear that collective sigh of relief from you all the way here in Pa.!!! I'm so glad Amelia got through this and will be okay! Big hugs!

We just got home and all is well. Amelia's echo today showed no more PDA, no sign of SAS, and normal aortic velocity. The doc. said I'm to keep her quiet for a week and then laughed commenting on how impossible that will be. Evidently she was quite a hit with all the vet students rotating through cardiology. They allowed her to roam the room with them and when she started stealing their typed reports and running off with them, they realized it probably wasn't the best idea!

I have nothing but positive comments about Ohio State Vet Hospital. They were extremely attentive to every animal brought in and very competent. My trust in vets has been restored, but probably only in the Columbus, OH region. I highly recommend their cardiology department.

So glad you're home with your baby girl and with a promise of a bright future! You must be so relieved.

Sweetie Amelia is going very well. Thanks for asking. Her stitches are out and she's rejoined Buzz and Hazel in their quest to make me crazy. If the weather cooperates, she'll be heading to her new home this weekend. I'll miss her terribly, but each side of my puppy triangle will benefit from more individualized attention. I'll try to get a picture posted of her.

I'm really glad everything turned out well, and that Amelia is soon able to be heading off to her home :). Do keep us update on her (as with the rest of the Trio ;) )!
