Pari's orthopedic consult is at 9 am tomorrow morning. She is no better. Still toe touching since Thursday night. They've got her on both Tramadol and Carprofen (pain management and anti-inflammatories). She's been sleeping alot - which is good because when she's sleeping, she's not limping. It is breaking my heart to see her hobbling around.
Please cross your fingers and say prayers that they can get whatever needs to be done scheduled as quickly as possible. When I picked her up on Friday after her x-rays, her regular vet - who at first blush had indicated a partial rupture of the cruciate - said that given the laxity and level of pain, it very well might be a full tear.
Now - will someone explain to me how a dog in obvious pain, can attempt a play bow with her brother (nearly giving me a heart attack) and tried to run away from the Dad when he was in charge of helping her go potty? I think the recovery is going to be (ahem) interesting with this one. :banghead:
