Paw Prints on the Rising Sea - Poseidon

It is hard for me to type this, but I thought I should let those of you who know me know that we lost Poseidon 4 days before Christmas due to a freak, tragic accident that was totally beyond our control. We are still devastated, even numb to the fact he's gone. We still have our precious Aurora, who is really helping ease at least some of the pain. I'm sure there will be another Newf when the time is right.

Goodbye, Poseidon, I'd like to think that Athena needed you more than we did and that the two of you are together at Rainbow Bridge.

I am sorry to hear about Poseidon. I lost my Chance boy in October and I am still feeling the pain, so I can understand what you are going though as can everyone here. I don't which is worse, the sudden loss where you are taken by surprise at the turn of events knowing they should still have had time with you or a slow illness. I guess pain is pain, but I always thought he would be with me just a little longer as I am sure you did Poseidon.
