Well, this was her first trip to this house...to get to the back yard Olivia had to go down steps that you could see thru...which she took a while warming up to and then decided investigating the back yard was more important than her fear of the steps...once she accomplished that she trotted around the fenced-in back yard and happened upon the entrance gate (a separate fenced area) to the pool and darted in...I ran down stairs as I really wasn't sure what she was going to do...since she LOVES swimming in the lake...so when I got to her she was circling the pool trying to decide how to get in...a walked over and sat on the steps and patted to each level and bingo she was in...my daughter was quite concerned that she was going to drown when she decided to shake her head repeatedly over the deepest part of the deep end and started to drop like a rock...bad Mom that I am I snapped photo #5 in the series above....and then called her to me and after a few flailing doggy paddles she righted herself and made it back...yes, Debra it actually was funny...and, after she was in and out for about 40 mins. (mostly in) I got tired and closed the gates so she couldn't go back in...now, if the sun ever comes out here in the North East...I'll take her back for more fun..it is sooooo much easier hosing them off after a pool swim than a lake swim....oh, and I do have a floatation vest to use on her when we start water training in a couple of weeks...
