I don't post much but I do check in daily to read the adventures of all the fur kids. I know the power of this group when one of the kids is sick, that is why I am asking for prayers for miss Izzy. She is my one and a half year old newf. I took her to the vet yesterday for a gaggy cough and she just seemed skinny to me. It was time for her annual check up so.....
She is perky and sassy but the vet was concerned that she seemed anemic, so blood was drawn. Today the vet called to say she is anemic and in renal failure. He doesn't know what has caused it but wanted her brought back in to start fluids and to do a renal ultrasound. He is worried that it is congenital but hoping it is something else like a chronic infection that can be treated. I dropped her off this morning and went back a few minutes ago to take her her moo cow. She has an IV running and was happy to see her cow.
Her renal us is scheduled for 3:30. I hate it that these babies can hide being sick so you don't know until they are sooooo sick.
