Sad, I see in the last few weeks her slowing down, she's fine and healthy but not walking as much as she used to do and I have to be more patient when she potters around outside and I want her to come in!!

I have never had a healthy 12 (well, almost) Newf before so I give thanks every day for her. My other female Newf lived to be just over 12 yr but had TPLO at 10 yr and never really got over that.

So, just wanted to give an update and I give thanks every day for Gracie's health, even when she is a bit slower these days.

btw, she still does her toy stunt each morning for treats!

*smiles* slowing down isn't so bad ... gives a girl more time to smell the roses (and all the other good smelly smells out there)

we should all be so lucky :)

YAY Gracie!!! You keep on going girl...and enjoy every day!! Hugs from us to you!

Chance is now 13 and he's a bit slower, and seems achy when he gets up, but he's not having any trouble getting around. He runs (slowly), and enjoys being out and about, so we're grateful for that. We're giving him one baby aspirin 2x a day, and will probably have to up the dose to two 2x a day as the weather gets cooler. I know that we're all more achy when it's cold.

Chaos slowed down at twelve too Angela...then proceeded to move at that pace for another TWO YEARS. Gracie still has some living to do..she's just conserving energy!!
