On the subject of Bob's future name...
On the subject of Bob's future name...
You, and Hsemko, each get a cookie.Am I good or what!?! I think I deserve a cookie or some such thing for guessing the sex and the name correctly (Well, I didn't guess Rhys for the middle name as I was rooting for Alexander Rowan as I am highly biased). Rhys is a lovely name and don't allow anyone in your family try to pervert it! It nearly created a fissure in my family when I had an absolute meltdown about some members of my family wanting to call Rowan RJ because they thought Rowan was a weird name. I said he is not going to be a NASCAR Driver and his name is not RJ and if they would like to continue being a part of his life, they would call NOT him that!
Congrats on the name choice, it's great!
Ted, sometimes Sandy and I slip up and refer to him as Bob! Guess we should just be glad he's a he and not a she!You realize that the MANY NN Aunt's and Uncle's will always call him "BOB." LOL!
Emmie, I'm married to a guy whose actual name is Alexander, and yet he goes by the name Sandy. I'm pretty sure any governmental confusion that erupts, we can handle. :lol:Lovely name. From experience we know that trying to use you middle name as the one you prefer is fraught with problems. Most bureaucracies want to insist on First name, middle initial. Then once in a while one says - OK have it your way. Eventually you end up with a tangle and when you call and they need to dig out records you have to go through all variations to find however they happen to have it. Ron's full name is Willie Ronald Tucker. He hates Willie, (a problem your Alexander probably won't have) so he tries to be W. Ronald Tucker. That works great socially, a real problem with organizations (medical and governmental). They want him to be Willie R, except some who will let him be W. R. andonce in a while W. Ronald. In the end you find you never know quite who you are where.
My SIL called my nephew "Butters" throughout her pregnancy (they didn't find out the sex) and she still lets it slip from time to time LOL!Ted, sometimes Sandy and I slip up and refer to him as Bob! Guess we should just be glad he's a he and not a she!
