I can't... but wonder if she would overheat with boots on indoors? Also, are her foot pads free of hair?

welcome to my world! just bought 2 huge area rugs to cover most of my flooring. tried boots...some were too bulky and made him trip ever more (ruffwear) and the other pair is great but he hates wearing them and takes them off. area rugs is what we're going to try before possibly considering a different finish on our floors.

Her foot fur just got trimmed two weeks ago and I swear it makes her slip more. I have runners all over the place, but she still finds floor and her back legs slip out to the side.

Sam has these shoes: : http://www.ultrapaws.com/Ultra-Paws-...ductinfo/303R/

They work great. Even just wearing the two back ones really helps with the slipping. The first time I put them all on, I immediately encouraged him to get up and go for a walk with me (after I gave him treats) to distract him from the strangeness of them and form a positive association with them. It worked really well. He ignored them for the most part. He even kept them on when I was not home. Putting baby socks on underneath and folding the tops down over the shoe velcro makes them harder to take off. I had no problems with him getting too hot, but in a hot summer place with no AC, you might want to watch out for signs of overheating.

Oh, do be sure she does not eat them...

I love the Ruffwear boots that others seem to have issues with. They have the best traction. Ross is used to boots and me messing with his feet all the time so he doesn't even notice them on his feet. His issue isn't with getting up, it is that he is scared of the slick floors. The Ruffwear boots help his confidence a lot.
I just didn't care for Muttlucks. They were scary. Ebony would slip on bare grass with those on.
I like the look of the Woodrow Wear socks! Might have to give 'em a try.

Another things to consider is Soft Claws. We've used them on Ross and they give him decent traction and a bit more confidence and they protect our floors from his scared, frantic feet.

I have some of those socks (ours are called pawks) for Gilly. I only put them on her sometimes because either she or our wood isn't that slippery. They work well for just walking around and getting up normally but when she's got some zoomies they're not too effective. I tried to buy regular human baby socks (cute ones with frills:) ) with the grippy bottom but they came right off. If you get dog socks Too big theyll just slide off too. Haven't tried any boots.

If you go with rugs, keep in mind they don't have to be a continual, touching set. You can leave several feet free in between them (IMO) because the dog is so long there is usually a paw or two on it as s/he walks through.

Also helps them get up off the floor.

Thunder used the ruffwear ones ($15 variety). As he's gotten more comfortable with my trimming his paw fur he doesn't seem to need them as much, but they worked very well. Oops, I take that back, I think his were Ultrapaws

Sorry, I know I am late coming in to this but did you try the paw wax that is used on dogs in the rings to keep them from sliding? I can't think of the name , maybe someone here knows
