Hello NN!
I haven't been around in months- Grad school- but I wanted to give a brief update on Finley, since I received so much support here when he was diagnosed with cancer and through the amputation and all that.
Finley has been healthy and hopping along for the past two and a half years. I found a lump on his side (same side as the amputation, about three inches down from his stump) last Saturday. It was around the size of a marble and hard. The vet was closed and it was a long weekend (of course). I got him in on Wednesday and the vet agreed that it needs to be removed and biopsied.
He is having surgery tomorrow. He is tired- still eating and playing a bit- but he is much calmer, a very un-Finley characteristic. The mass has grown a lot. It is making me so nervous because it is growing so fast. About the size of a golf ball in a week. It is rock hard and he does not like me to touch it.
So, wish us luck tomorrow, through the surgery and then for the waiting game.
