Update on Zuzu...

Putting this in General Discussion as many many were involved in this story, but mods feel free to move if necessary.

Zuzu had her post-surgery check up and X ray yesterday with Dr. Trout at Angell in Boston. I was apprehensive because her gait is very odd, even though she seems comfortable and happy. I was afraid we'd get some bad news.

So - to my surprise the exam indicated that everything is in place - both knees tracking properly. X rays confirmed that both knees are healed, implants and sutures in place, and bones have knit properly.

Holy cow. Knock on wood, we now just have a long, long road of building back muscle very slowly. Walking on leash 5 minutes, twice/day. Then 10 minutes, twice/day, etc. She may always limp, she'll never run and wrestle with Cooper or go to the dog park...but she is one happy, and now healthy, dog. :groovy:

Here's a pic while we waited for our appt yesterday...

Go Zuzu !

What a sweet-face. Has the snow melted yet ? Just kidding. The leaves changing there is a fond memory of ours. Almost time again...

Best news of the week! That clear traffic pattern into Boston was a good omen.

well done, when you say an odd gait can you be more specific as I have noticed Max is pigeon toed at his back end though he is very happy and energetic
