I just looked back to see the date of my last thread and it was from Sept of 2009 when Katie had just completed Rally Obedience Advanced and Louie had just started it. NN is addictive to me and I knew if I was going to complete my long list of adoption related projects I was going to have to go off of it cold turkey. I missed you all bunches though and I hope to make a more regular appearance now.
For those of you who don't follow our blog I'll try to quickly summarize our Newfie activities.
Since I last posted Louie completed his Rally Excellent title.
At one of our last shows, going into the same crate was their idea... not mine
Both Newfs are now officially retired from the show world and we are focusing on their therapy work. Within the last year Katie and Louie both earned their TDIA titles by completing 50 therapy visits each.
One our favorite therapy jobs is visiting classrooms and giving lessons on how to introduce yourself to a dog you don't know. Katie and Louie are always a huge hit. (Louie pictured below)
We've also done lots of hiking...
Drafting
Grooming of course
Posing for Newfs Gone Bad
This was when Louie was 9 months old. He's never done anything like this before or since. I think it was just temporary insanity from a testosterone surge.
Hanging out with Friends
Playing in the Snow
Watching the Little Rock Marathon
Getting Natalie's Room Ready
We are expecting our newest family member, daughter Natalie, to come home from China around the end of this year. We have been waiting for her for 5 years!
