We have seen wavy or straight coat!!

How about thick or thin coats? Is your dog so fluffy you can't get a comb through it at all or or is it more managable fluff?

Bailey's coat is on the thinner side managable ( still matts though ) but still bushy enough for me!

Adams coat is thick. Did I say thick? I mean really really really thick. Yesterday I decided to bath, dry and groom him. I started a 7:30 a.m. and finished at 4 p.m. with a 2 hour break. And he is not done yet. I noticed some fluffy spots that needs to be removed. I just did a bath and groom on him 5 weeks ago and he is combed twice weekly. My shop looked like he exploded! Sad thing is his coat is so thick he cannot swim. But if he has his life jacket on he will swim.

Chase: I can bath, dry and trim her in about 2 hours. Very thin coat.

Lucy has a fairly thin coat, more like a very thick English Setter coat. People always comment about how soft her coat is.

Maggie has a long thick coat, but it still feels soft.

Brenna has a thick coarse coat, that feels stiff and matts like a brillo pad. Her coat is a real challenge to keep neat.

Nanook's coat is almost as bad as Adam's; although it doesn't prevent him from swimming he would NEVER dry out naturally.

Pooka's is fluffy, but not even in the same league.

Beau has a very thick coat, his brillo butt and chest are a particular nightmare as these are the parts he hates having groomed

I think, from my short time with her, that Annabelle has a thick coat in Winter and a very thin coat in our very hot Summer

I remember how I used to say that Lolly-pups coat was simple to care for compared to the Rough Collie I had prior to him..but... As he has grown I certainly see his coat condition has changed.
Year one he blew his puppy coat while we were on vacation... got home and it looked like 'while you were out' was in and gave us a new black rug! He had a sparce coat that summer.
Year 2 it was heavier, as we moved to the Country and he spent alot of time outside..if he was allowed ;)
Now at the end of year 3 He is trained well enough that he can stay outside as much as he wants. I'd say He often chooses to be out 80% of the time and His coat is 'THICK'. I even sent Him to the Groomer this fall for 'help'.. something I've never done before... because, yes, it would be an all day job (I usually stretch it over 3 or 4 days.. so we can endure it). For you city folks try to remember, my dogs come out on trail rides through the bush with me in the fall and scamper off leash through every burr pathch they desire (NOT pretty).

Emma has a manageable coat, thinner in the summer - thicker in the winter. Right now when I brush her I am getting a ton of undercoat out. I can always brush all of her fur comfortably and she doesn't seem to get mats.

Nigel has thicker fur, but he has yet to let me thoroughly groom him like I can with Emma. He just doesn't want to sit still long enough.

Emma will lie down on the floor and I'll brush one side of her thoroughly, then she'll lay on her back so that I can get her "undercarriage" as we call it, and I can easily turn her over to get the other side. I tell you, she's like putty in your hands when it comes to grooming.

Thankfully, the groomer says that Nigel is perfect for her. Mainly because he's scared to death to move once he's up on the table!!

Max has a heavy, thick coat...we could never figure out what the term meant "blew coat" because while he does shed more twice a year he is always a woolly mammoth. Marcus's coat is thin but longer and straighter and unbelievably silky. It is taking him longer to get his feathers and pants and at 2 his tummy still has pink areas.

Roger's hair is thin, but he has a very floofy coat.
Merlin's hair is thicker, but no where's as floofy as Roger's.

Merlin's is the easier of the two to manage.

Peanut as a very thin and straight coat. He turned two in Jan (not yet neutered) and as really never 'blown coat'. Sometimes I get jelalous when I see the big thick Newf coats here and at club events. Well, maybe not...;)

Both Winston and Millie have pretty thick but silky/easy to maintain coats. Not very difficult as far as Newfy coats go.
