Interesting how the responses differ from laughing to sadness/depression to annoyance. I think most of us know of vets like this, owners like this, or breeders like this. It's reality...an hyperbolic reality perhaps. I said it was priceless, as in the value of learning and seeing another's point of view, through illustrating the narrow mindedness and tunnel vision of all three perspectives, of vet, breeder, and owner is priceless. Each one insists that they know best , and dig in their heal when confronted with a differing opinion. Their own experience or knowledge overrides the other, and they will not be persuaded otherwise. They know what they know and that's that. Kind of like the differing opinions on any subject being discussed.
So you have someone who really does want to learn and truly doesn't have a formed opinion, and they get pulled in three or more different directions. Who does one listen too...the experienced, the educated, the latest and greatest new idea that bucks the established way of doing things? No wonder people get confused, depressed, and irritated.
