Teaching Moments

It's been raining on and off heavily for the last few days here in Northeast Wisconsin. After the last bout of rain stopped, I let Kiefer and Gigi out to go potty.

While I've been complaining bitterly that it's too cold and wet to do anything outside, Gigi has managed to turn the weather into a learning opportunity.

I am just soooo proud.. Gigi, being the fine mother that she is, continues to teach Kiefer all the important skills that any good Newfoundland should posess. I am equally proud that Kiefer is a quick and willing learner!

Needless to say, Kiefer got his first bath today. I should also note that Gigi was equally as dirty, however, Steve got to her with the hose before I had a chance to grab the camera. I hope you all laugh as hard as I did when I took these!

:roflmao:That's what I said when I went to check on mother and son. They'd been outside for quite some time, and as you know, just as with kids, if a Newf is too quiet, it's time to go check on them!

After happening upon the scene, I ran back in the house to get Steve, close the dog door panel and grab the camera! :tongue:

I have so much mud outside when it rains..I go through so many towels I lose count.

Ok, everyone. We are going to laugh out loud when we see pictures of little Magnum rolling in the mud and mom and dad trying to wash him and him squirming around like a greased pig. I. Can't. Wait.

They look so cute! I am empathizing; our place is a mud pit with all the rain. I've stopped worrying about all the mud. I'm just vacuuming up the big chunks; I'll wait to really clean with the sun comes out and dries up some of the mud. Nothings cuter than a muddied, happy Newf!!
