Happy that Sunny is feeling better. They do like to worry us sometimes. don't they? Sending hugs and wishes that her recovery continues quickly.

Wonderful news! I've been on Dilaudid for migraines and it helps the pain, but does make you sleepy and woozy. Since she's starting to feel better, I bet it was the meds. Keep making those baby steps forward Sunny!

I am happy to report that she seems like her old self. We went to the rehab vet yesterday & she got adjusted. Her pelvis was out, I knew something was funky as she looked like an S throughout her spine & was moving in this weird way. When we left she was nice & straight and walking properly. She is wearing her harness more. She allowed me to help her up her ramp & I think she feels more secure, knowing my hand is close to grab the harness and keep her on her feet if she should need help.

We are working with her pain meds to see just how much she needs. I'm to lower the Metacam by 5 pounds each week and see if she can remain comfortable. She is a completely different dog on this stuff but her liver enzymes have been "slightly" elevated the last 2 blood draws.

Again, you all are tremendous. It is a wonderful feeling to know that there are so many friends out there pulling for us. I continue to be amazed at the level of peoples compassion. Thank you so much for finding room in your hearts for my old girl.

Great news! Metacam works wonders, and we too had the elevated liver enzymes. What seems to help is SAM-e and milk thistle. I always bought the human version of SAM-e, cheaper than the one packaged for dogs and works the same.
