At this time yesterday Ruby was enjoying a last car ride. She wouldn't eat anything no matter how tasty or unhealthy so the ride turned out to be our last gift to her. The only way we got her on her feet was to put her lease on her. The Vet and Helper were very kind and gentle.

I will post more when I can see better.

Oh I am so sorry for the loss of your special girl...it is never easy but know that your love set her free...until you meet again at the bridge...big big hugs!

Yesterday afternoon was another heart breaker. we left to run errands and were gone about three hours. When we returned Lester, our Landseer thought his mama had returned, got excited and ran through the house and outside to greet her. Annie, our youngest Newf has searched more then once but just looked on that time.

Thank you all for your kindness, we try to focus on the extra years we were blessed with.

So sorry for your loss. I feel the pain. So sorry for the dogs pain too. I just can not imagine what goes through their minds. But BOY did she live a long life! That is something to celebrate.

Sad for the doggies too...I know they do feel the loss...they can get depressed also...best wishes for all of you!

i am taking nothing for granted here at 11 and 3 months. How things can change on a dime. Sounds like she was happy for her car ride as a last hurrah.
