Raising funds for Zuzu's knee surgery

Yesterday Zu was less annoyed about the cast; I found her willingly standing up in her pen a couple of times and she popped right up when my daughter came home with a friend. Last night we had her with us to watch TV; on the way back she veered off course and lay down in Cooper's bed. LOL.

I have been giving her quilts to lie on, and the rug under her is a thick shag wool, but apparently she felt the need for more softness. So I got her memory foam bed and put it in the pen - she slept on it all night and I've found her on it a few times since. Funny girl.

She's wagging her tail and gamely trying to eat everything off the ground now that the snow is gone - I guess everything smells like Spring!

Next trip on Monday the 25 to check progress on the cast and talk about when to do the right leg....

glad to hear she is feeling more herself,

we have had to triple fold kingsize quilts for Max as he definetly wants more padding in the house, the daft thing is he will happily lay outside in -Degrees C weather and not worry, in the house he struggles more.

he is still a feisty bugger come grooming time though.

fingers crossed for a good outcome on the 25th

Hi all, we went to Boston r/t this morning (left at 4:45 AM and got home about 11:45 AM). Zuzu had her splint wrappings changed and a brief exam. Dr Trout was very happy that the holes from the pins/external fixator were completely healed, and that her knee is tracking properly.

He and the nurse got a kick out of Zuzu's antics - when he came out to get me she had just had a drink and splashed water about on the floor, so he grabbed a handful of towels to help me wipe it up. When he came back she was lying half on her back, front paws folded, wagging her tail and giving him the "I want a belly rub" eye. ;) She purred for the nurse who stroked her head while the dr examined her.

We will go back in 2-3 weeks for another eval. Dr Trout wants her left knee healed as completely as possible before doing her right, and she seems to be doing great with the splint setup, so we're continuing that for a few more weeks....

that's all the update I've got for now! :)

Update sound great, I am glad she is obviously happy with the people that are treating her. That makes such a difference :)
