Cissy,

So glad to know that Owen came through his surgery. Now you have got to take care of yourself and try and get some rest, because you're going to need it.

Sending you lots of good thoughts, prayers and hugs. Hang in there, and please update us when you can.

Talked with the clinic as soon as they opened. Owen would not eat this morning and refused to go potty. Not surprising on that as he holds it until he gets to HIS yard. I am leaving here in about 20 mins. to get him. I should have him at home around 4:30 and give you all an update. Once again THANK YOU for your kindness.

Give that handsome boy a hug for me. Have a safe trip. Will look for the update later. I bet he will be as happy as you to be home.

Well,
HOME AT LAST!! Got the boy, into the truck, and he just layed there so very quiet. Two of the three connective tissues were completely torn the third was still intact. The arthritis lumps that I was shown from other dogs surgeries were NOT prominent in Owen so little to none were trimmed off. We got home and the PGB Princess Gone Bad was blocked off in another area of the house with Rekcut. We opened the back gates and drove into the back yard. Put a sling under him and got him down his ramp. When he got up he had bled on the way home. He stood and we timed him he pee'd for 1 and one half minutes straight! Got him in the house to his CONDO. I turned around to get him a drink and he had explosive diaherra all over his comforter. Had to get him back out lift the kennel up pull out the comforter, put another in and then he got his drink, put the LAMPSHADE over his head, and he is now resting in the enclosed room. I haven't allowed Rainbo to go in yet as I think he needs some time to get adjusted and rest from all the movement and stuff. I will try to feed him some soft stuff tonight as his throat is REALLY SORE.
WE ARE BLESSED HE IS HOME!! More later. If you are not grossed out I will try to find out how to post a picture. THANKS

Awwww ... poor owen. That surgery stuff is awful. Hang in there ... both of you. It will get better soon!

Have you looked into the bite-not collar? I've never used one but I know plenty of people on here are preferring it to the dreaded lampshade

Oh poor boy, just had to let it all out when he got home. He'll be much brighter eyed and happier when he wakes from his rest.

Hang in there, and keep us posted, so glad he is home and on the road to recovery!

Cissy, don't forget pumpkin and with the antibiotics you can use yogurt too (in addition to the digestive enzymes). Those should be easy on the stomach. I'm so sorry for poor baby Owen. But he'll be better in no time.

Awww...poor guy. But at least he's home, and I know he's happy to be there, as are you! Now he can rest and relax, surrounded by his familiar comforts.

Please keep us updated, and hugs all around.
