Good luck, Owen. Be well soon. I know it's for the best, but it's tough to see our fur kids go through pain to get well. Prayers and paws crossed for Owen (and mom as well. I imagine you won't sleep well until he's safe at home again).

OK EVERYONE.....
I did not get home until about 3:30 this afternoon. Dr. told me to call about 4:00. When I did Owen was still in the operating room. They started his surgery at 2:00 and were just finishing at 4:00. Fast forward to 5:15 Dr. said that he was coming around and that all things were going as usual. WHEW... Dr. reported that he knew I did not wish to do this procedure but when they got in there the ACL was completely torn, even though Owen was still slightly weight bearing. He has a terrific tolerance to pain. Mended the area and SHOULD be all taken care of. If all goes well he will be released tomorrow at 2:00, then the 2 hour trip home to recoup. Still no sleep for me, it has been 2 days now, and probably won't get any tonight. Rainbo is very sad, and so is Rekcut they keep looking for him. I THINK this is a VERY good report, and at least I can eat something tonight! THANK YOU ALL for your support and caring kind thoughts and words. You are my extended NEWF family. I appreciate it so.

Cissy, that's wonderful! What a brave boy.

I know it's hard, but Owen needs you rested. He's through the surgery, and that has to be a huge relief. Breathe and get some rest.

Cissy, i am so glad he did well. Dont worry to much about the recovery. I know with an active newf you are worried about keeping him mellow but really he is not going to feel like a party right away.
Everything will be just fine.

Cissy, I'm so sorry I missed this today. I'm so relieved that surgery went well and that it really needed to be done. Now, you take some rescue remedy and get some rest (or at least get nice and calm). Your baby needs you rested tomorrow. Hugs to you all!
