Well our new girl has settled in beautifully. I hate the name Missy...bad vibes so she is now Misty. Last night she met Max and they were great together. She snarled and growled at Marcus.
We have a crate set up in our family room/kitchen and she is quite happy in it and Max and Marcus walk by often. She slept all night in the crate with no accidents but was quite happy at 6:30 to go out in the paddock and pee and poop. Didn't eat much breakfast this morning but we are not worried.
This morning Barry put Misty out in the 4 x 10 6ft pen that is inside our paddock and put Max and Marcus in the paddock...a few minutes later all 3 were at the paddock gate...little escape artist worked her body under the pen! All were fine.
We lifted her in the horse trough that we use as a dog tub...she had a long bath and conditioning and behaved perfectly. We then blew her dry and she loved it!
This is such a great Newf girl, 6 years old...healthly and active. Her legs look good, she is about 26" at the whithers...sweet as can be. She has been shaved but I think will be quite pretty when her coat and feathers grow back in.
She needs obedience work but she has already learned how to sit and stay.
