Update on Ms. Tess:
Newf Net prayers win again!!!!! She's finally back at the shelter, skinny as a rail but fixed up. I talked to the vet tech and there was a lot more pushing through Tess' diaphram - a kidney, part of her liver, her stomach and the majority of her intestines - large AND small. She said the hole in her diaphram was huge! Tess is a fighter and pulled through. She's currently eating smaller meals (her stomach was so squeezed that it still can't take large amounts), and in great spirits. I was SO excited to see her this morning that I couldn't wait to be finished cleaning and get home - believe me, it was very hard NOT to speed home so I could give you all an update!!! Gotta run - snagging a satin balls recipe and making some up for our special patient to help her put some much needed weight on. Thanks guys! YOU ROCK!!!!!
Asking for prayers for one of our shelter "kids". Tess is a sweet young lady, terrier mix, who after she arrived from Tennessee lost a lot of weight despite our best efforts at getting her to eat - believe me, I tried!!! We ran her up to the vets and they took some xrays - she's got a hole in her diaphram and her intestines are pushing up through it and pressing on her lungs. She's to undergo surgery to attempt to repair this in the next day or so. It's very risky, but we want to give her a chance. Please keep her in your prayers for a good outcome.
