Love the logo! I checked the website and didn't see any mention of t-shirts or sweatshirts being sold. Will you be selling them this year online?

Rhonda, I have a Tapestry Vest and a couple of other goodies for you. I'll post a photo for you when I get a chance.

Yes, we will, we are still working on that but I will post as soon as I have the info.

This may seem like a silly question but what will this event be like? I plan on going with my family and our Mila but this will be our first Newf event and I am just a bit curious as to what to expect. Should I expect a lot of people or is there usually not a very high attendance? Is the format and feel more like a convention or is it more like a barbeque? Would it be a good idea to bring an infant (he'll be 6 months at the time) or should I arrange for Gram to watch him for the day? A bit silly, I know! :)

Thanks, that's very helpful! I've only attended one breed event and it was a very small, outdoor Irish Wolfhound event several years ago so I didn't really have a frame of reference for what to expect with Newfiepalooza.

Please come if you can, we would love to meet you. It's a fun event, and you'll meet a lot of very nice Newfie People.

Ahh, Ted, did you happen to notice who's sitting behind Judy in the first picture?
That would be me and Maddie!!

About how many Newfs do you expect? Is there a Newf friendly hotel to stay at in the area? I will be driving from Ontario to my Mom's in Indiana sometime in March and might be able to work in Newfiepalooza on the way to or from.

Here is a link to a page on petswelcome.com that will help you find pet-friendly lodging. This is a great resource for locating a hotel in the area that is pet friendly but be mindful to look into the details of their pet policies. For example, La Quinta Inn is famous for being pet friendly, but they have a 50 pounds and under dog policy, so unless your Newf is a baby, forget it!

I would say we have at least 60 newfs or so. The location is real close to the airport in Chicago so I am sure there are dog friendly hotels. Would love to have you!!

Thanks for the quick replies. I guess I was wondering more if there was a specific hotel a group of the Newfies might be staying at. Or is everybody close enough they don't stay overnight.

We're coming and staying overnight but dont' have a hotel booked yet. Will probably find a Red Roof that is close so we can get more points for free nights.

The Candlewood Suites OHare is pet friendly. I know that For Your Canine uses them for trials, seminars etc. They might even have a special rate for For Your Canine and they are only 10 minutes away. Phone number -847-671-4663
