There is a comment below the post that says "Companions Forever" will be there to pull him tomorrow ... it is left by Newfiemom of 2 ... is that the same one as on NN?

What is "companions forever?"

Let's follow up on this ... he looks like such a sweetie. It's very sad his family did this. They must be experiencing a lot of hardship to surrender him.

If they don't get him today, my kids and I are driving out there in the AM. It's only 5 hrs from Nashville. I'll call at 9:00 when they open to see if I can get more info or perhaps a promise for a call back if he's not gone, or a promise to hold, etc. EEK!!

Great Laurie. He looks like the perfect family dog.
If I were newfless and nearby, I'd snatch him up in a minute. A bath, some love, good food ... and you've got a faithful friend for life.

I just called the shelter, and they said someone is "for sure" coming to get him this evening. Thank heavens!!! Timing was not the best for me, as we're about to go on vacation, but he didn't have much time.

I was at the shelter to get this guy at 8AM so he did not have to stay in the shelter, it was breaking my heart. I am with Companions Forever Rescue and newfiemomof2 and rescue out of this shelter all the time, If you can believe this,the original owners wanted to have him euthanized,they were moving and could not take him with them. I hope they did not have any children,and if they did,where are they now. My dogs are my family,I could never do that.
