Oh my god, that looks so uncomfortable! Lol, really though, if you're that bothered by drool, why get a newf in the first place?!

These are his emails to me.
Thank you for your opinion. I love my little son but I put a diaper on him too.

If you don’t like slobber, don’t buy a dog that slobbers. I would never put these on my dogs. Hidious! Sorry.

Subject: Newfoundland Patent product

Hello I want to send you a few Dog Slobber Stoppers for your review. We are a Coeur d'alene Idaho Company.

I am looking for the expertise of your opinion. I have had response from a couple Newfie breeders who say they are okay with the slobber and we should accept our dogs as they are. I have a 2 year old Newf and I’m a first time CUSTOMER. I have 3 children under 13 and they were rejecting my dog MOOSE once he turned a year old. They would avoid him so not to get “SLOBBERED” and Moose did not appreciate the rejection.

My family badly needed a slobber stopper and all I could find were bibs, towels and such. I am already a business owner so I decided I would make my own solution to this problem and start my 3rd Company.

I would hope you can look at this as a way to increase the market share of Newfoundland dogs. This will help more people decide on purchasing this dog breed as a pet.

The utility Patent is a Dog-Mouth-Diaper that is lined with Hemp-Bamboo Fleece absorbent fabric. The same fabric that is popular in human baby cloth diapers. The athletic performance Spandex fits over the dog’s head and holds the absorbent fabric over the jowls of the dog’s mouth. The Bamboo fabric pulls the slobber away from the dog’s mouth and the Hemp fabric holds the drool for up to 12 hours without leaks.

The dog can eat, drink, bark and everything he can do when not wearing it. This is not a muzzle and does not prevent your dog from biting. It simply stops the gooey slobber and drool from getting on your clothes, furniture, inside your car, on your floors and everywhere else. Simply put the Slobber Stopper on your dog’s head when friends and family come over to visit. Because you know they hate the slobber your Newf dog loves to share with them.

Just send me an address to mail your samples for review.

I just checked out the guy's website and I can't believe the picture of the poor Newf. That contraption makes the poor dog look like an Ewok from "Star Wars."

I hope his poor Newf gets rehomed right away.

It should be mandatory that before getting a Newf a prospective owner meets some for real and is inundated by slobber. If one cannot take it, fine, get a different breed.

When I met my first Newfs and got up close and personal with the floogers I was horrified but knew all the other qualities would make up for it. Now, heck, don't even care, pinch 'em off without even noticing any more.

Paper towels and bibs work fine. Sometimes if I'm walking to the bus and Orka has a particularly long foamy icicle I use a stick to twirl it off.

It always surprises me when we're at a dog park and somebody runs away because they are afraid of the santa beard. The other dogs don't care. True, the dogs Orka plays with need a bath afterward. And he hardly drools. I just don't even compute it anymore.

Would never put this thing on his head. Head diaper. Somebody was going to make this and market it someday. Wonder how many he sells. Wonder how many ppl are going to ask for their money back.

Eeeeek! That is truly absurd! Plus, how in the devil is a dog supposed to pant .. ie cool off.. in that ridiculous contraption! Obie drools all summer for good reason.. it is hot here! That would not be the solution I'd be looking for!

I'll tell you, this really, really makes me sick to my stomach. It's heartless and downright cruel.

Read the guy's blog!!! Sounds like he recently adopted this poor dog. I hope the rescue organization will see this and make every effort to retrieve the dog.

I can only imagine that "Moose" thinks he's now gone to hell and is being punished. He sure acts like it in that one video. That's not the demeanor of a contented Newf, but rather a miserable one.

And this guy will only let his dog in if it isn't drooling??? And he keeps repeating it as if taunting the dog. Again, how heartless. I'm sure he won't let the dog in when it's wet and cold either. What is wrong with people? I can also imagine what kind of message this is sending to his children. Obviously, the family did not do their homework before getting a dog. Wonder what he'll do about the massive shedding?

Well, his first trip to the vet for a nasty infection may open his eyes. Seriously, can you imagine staying in your damp wetsuit all day and NOT getting crotch rot?

I was bad and left comments on almost all his YouTube videos. I'm sure he will erase them, but I invite others to follow suit. If he gets enough, maybe it will sink in.

I see there are no testimonials on his website, hmm, wonder why!
That is the grossest thing I have seen for a long time.
Maybe he and his family should try wearing spandex masks all day.

I'm not sure he has been able to sell any. He is contacting breeders and wanting to send out some samples. I guess he was hoping we would help him promote them. After all, it will be good for our business, because we will sell more puppies if we can do something about the drool, ha! Moron!!! If they were selling he wouldn't be sending free ones to breeders.
