Everyone, thank you all for all your support. This is not easy, as you all well know. But, as I said to someone, loosing the "special one", my "love muffin", has been especially hard. I thought this morning about how he used to wake me up with a toy in his mouth. Like his father, Rimshot, he liked to carry things around and bump you with them, many times just as you are taking that sip of hot coffee.

What many of you may or may not know is how significant newf net has been in mudji's story. I joined NN just after it was formed. I think my member number is in the single digits. Someone posted about his new puppy, Angus, and that there were puppies left in the litter. Not as an advertisement, but as a general comment. I wrote him sharing that my first newf as an adult was also an Angus. You know how it is, sharing these special coincidences. I contacted the breeder, and the rest is fate...

Not only did mudji come from breed lines I was looking at, but his mom was <kennel name> Hannah (so "the mamma" continued to be hannah). When I picked him up, I had to drive through a town in Ontario that I had worked in, and then stayed in a hotel that I had stayed in before. I knew the area, and knew that it was fate that brought him to me. Here's a link to the initial announcement. http://www.newf.net/Forums/showthread.php?t=44342 And here are couple of puppy pictures.. http://www.newf.net/Forums/showthread.php?t=55514 I was a bad mamma on the sharing of the picture department, but here's a link to some a couple of years later. http://www.newf.net/Forums/showthread.php?t=59532

Thank you GAD for this wonderful forum. I treasure everything NN has brought me. And thank you, everyone, for your kind words.

Hannah, thanks for sharing those threads. Mudji was a cutie that grew into a handsome boy. I hope each day is a bit easier for you.

I understand what you mean about NN. I got help on here that helped Kimber live a much better life than she would have otherwise with all her issues. Our other three dogs all came to us through connections we made on here.

:hugs: to you as you miss your boy

So terribly sorry to hear of your loss. Mudji will be keeping some very good company there, it's this side of the bridge that does all the grieving. Many, many hugs from here.
